Winter's Respite #Readathon - Mid-Event Check in and #Prizes #WintersRespite

I realize I'm a bit past the midpoint. Sorry! Still fighting that busy procrastination trait which is one of my goals to overcome in 2018. Doing a bang up job so far. 😉

How is the reading going for you? I've been doing not so great, but I'm planning to finish strong in the last week and a half. I'm hoping the 24 in 48 Readathon (Jan. 27-28) will help with this goal.

Share your progress in the comments, or leave a link, or update us in the Facebook group.

I hope you're enjoying the readathon!

Prize from Elyse LeMieux, one of our participants via our Facebook group

One (1) Kindle book - up to $5

Prize One (One winner)
I will make a $15 donation to the winner's choice of a human rights organization, such as the ACLU, Boys and Girls Club, Human Rights Campaign, GLAAD, Amnesty International, It Gets Better, Planned Parenthood, or another human rights organization of your choice, perhaps your local chapter or a local organization. This giveaway is open internationally.

Prize Two (One winner)
Winner's choice of any book title from the bargain books (these are generally used books) section of Better World Books. They ship internationally. (priced at $3.98 or less) OR a Kindle book valued at $2.99 or less.

Giveaway Details
This is a readathon participant only giveaway. To be eligible, you must have signed up, participated and added a link to the official readathon wrap-up post  (I will give everyone until Monday, February 5th at 11:59 pm CDT to complete their wrap-ups) AND filled out the Google form below to show your interest in winning (your wrap-up link should be added to the form as well). We have a total of 3 prizes. This means there will be 3 winners. I will award prizes on a first come, first served basis. I will draw the 3 winners with and email all 3 at the same time. The first person who emails me back with their choice gets that prize. I will mark off the prizes as they are taken. Winners will be chosen after the wrap-up post deadline (see above).

Winter's Respite #Readathon - Time to start! #WintersRespite

Oh my goodness! Can you believe I forgot to post the starting line. What!? Sorry, guys!

So, we're already underway. A month of blissful winter reading! It is freezing here in Tennessee this year. Perfect weather for staying indoors and reading, reading, reading. 😀

Unfortunately, I didn't receive any prize donations (unless some come in later in the readathon), but there will be a couple of prizes from me. I will set up a prize page soon. Remember, a wrap-up is required to win a prize. This means that the Google form on the prize page will now have a required field for you to enter the link to your wrap-up post.

If you have any questions about how things work, check out the guidelines tab in the sidebar menu, or the sign up post, or you can always leave me a comment (or send me a message via the contact form). The linky below is the same one as the sign up linky. If you do a starting line/goal post, just add your link again, but be sure to put "goal post" beside your name, i.e. Michelle/The True Book Addict (goal post).

I will post a mid-event check in post around the middle of the month. Our hashtag for social media is #WintersRespite ...and don't forget about our Facebook group!

That's it! Happy Winter Reading!
