Hi everyone! So, how's the reading going? I have really been enjoying actually having time to participate AND interact this time! No crazy illness or other catastrophe interfering this time, as has been the theme during my last few read-a-thons. *knock wood*
We are at mid-week and we're just a couple days away from Dewey's 24 Hour Read-a-Thon. Who else will be joining in on the 24 hour shenanigans? I am, although I doubt I'll be reading the entire day. Promised my sons we would go see The Jungle Book on Saturday. If you're participating on Saturday, let's keep the interaction going in the group on Facebook. I think that would be fun! By the way, I'm loving the enthusiasm and interaction I'm seeing over there this time. Our Facebook group has been such a success!
If you are doing daily updates on your blog, or have done a mid-week update post, feel free to leave your link in the comments...or just leave a comment on how things are going. You can even leave a link to your tweet or Facebook group post.
Have you checked out the prize page yet? We have some AMAZING prizes this time so be sure to take a look here, or via the link in the menu up top.
Happy continued scary (or not) reading!
Doing pretty good on the book. It isn't what I was expecting but it is getting read lol. I didn't do a midweek post as I am going to be doing a closing post on Sunday with pages read each day. I am not doing the 24 hours read-a-thon with being a mom of a three year old and 9 year old there is no way I can just sit and read all day and night though I would love to I can't.
ReplyDeleteI read more last night than I have all week. I'm up to page 129 in a monster of a book! I work late tonight so my progress probably won't be much, but I'm still trucking!

I've got two down (still need to review one). Meant to read a ghost story collection next--but couldn't find it in my TBR stacks and wanted to get at least one more book in. I started that book (definitely not spooky--a mystery with romantic overtones) and then immediately found the ghost story collection. Will try to squeeze that in before the final deadline. :-)
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize it was Thursday already! This has been a super busy week for me, so I haven't been able to get much reading in. I'm a few chapters in my horror novel, and not very far in anything else. I'll probably get to read a lot this weekend though!

Have done pretty well so far - a bit off my game today - have been super tired and needed some catchup sleep!
ReplyDeleteI did post at the FB group and now a blog post for readers to know Readathon Updates.
Glad you're well and enjoying your efforts! and have a Great TimeOut with your Jungle Book fans ;)
I finished my first book and got the review posted yesterday. It wasn't my horror choice because I changed that - started with Joyland by Stephen King but swapped to Carrie as was struggling. Am enjoying Carrie though and almost done with it.
ReplyDeleteIt's going pretty well, other than I decided to DNF my scary read because it just wasn't what I was hoping for, and life is too short to read books you feel meh about! right? Here is my update with the other titles I'm reading.
