FrightFall Read-a-Thon--Post your Wrap-Ups!

Well, another read-a-thon comes to an end.  I hope everyone enjoyed it! I'd like to thank everyone who participated.  I'd also like to thank everyone who donated prizes and Melissa and Nova for hosting their mini-challenges.  Unfortunately, the Twitter chats were not much of a success.  I had a suggestion in today's chat that I liked which was to have a chat at the beginning to talk about goals and then one at the end to talk about accomplishments.  Let me know what you think about that idea in the comments and if I get a lot of positives, I'll implement it for Winter's Respite in January (21 - 27).  I'm hoping to host another write-a-thon in November over at Stories Inside (yes, I changed the name of my writing blog).  It's all going to depend on what's going on in my personal life.  I may be moving again and, if I do, everything else will take a back seat.  If I do host Sit Down and Write 2, I'm going to make it two weeks instead of one because of suggestions I received from some participants last time.

My wrap-up post will be over at Castle Macabre.  I didn't really do that great, but I did finish one book!

Add the link to your wrap-up post in the linky below by 10am CST (U.S. time) on Tuesday.  I will start drawing giveaway winners Tuesday afternoon.

  1. Thanks for hosting Michelle, and as you already know, I'm all about the two chats like that, or maybe at least one at the end :)

  2. Thank you so much Michelle. I have as always enjoyed your Read-a-Thon. It makes me set a goal and do my best to reach it and I sometimes need that.

  3. Thank you for hosting!! It was just what I needed. I have been in a slump. I had a slow start this past week, but I ended up finishing one book and starting another. Am looking forward to the Winter Read-A-Thon.

  4. I had a great week - thanks so much for hosting. I did mean to join in for the Twitter chats, but I've got a terrible memory and kept forgetting they were on, only remembering after it was all over. Next time I'll set a reminder on my phone!

  6. I think 2 chats is a great idea, I'm not really one to join in on chats but maybe with a set up like that I might be more likely.

  7. Thank you, Michelle! I had fun!! As to the chats, I'm not much for going on Twitter ~ not enough time. I do think that the a chat at the beginning and one at the end is a good idea.

  8. Like the idea of the twitter chats at the beginning and ending. I think it will be easier for people to remember them, for one thing. Thanks for encouraging me to get in the mood for the season!

  9. Thanks again, Michelle, for hosting the read-a-thon! I am a huge fan of your read-a-thons, and even though I don't always manage to get a lot of reading done I do make a conscious effort to set aside some reading time instead of getting tied up with doing something else.

The mini-challenges were so much fun that I couldn't resist participating in them! Thanks again to Melissa & Nova!!

I have had just too much on the go this week and was not around for the Twitter chats. Normally, I do like to at least make one appearance but it just didn't work out this time. I like the sound of one at the beginning and one at the end.
