High Summer Read-a-Thon Wrap-Up
Well, another lovely read-a-thon has reached its end. *sniff* It has been great fun hosting once again. I hope everyone was able to accomplish the goals they set and even if you didn't, I hope you enjoyed it above all else. I would like to thank you for joining me again and I hope you will join me for the FrightFall Read-a-Thon October 1 through 7.
I've also decided to host a Write-a-Thon for writing our novels, stories, reviews, articles...whatever you need to get written. I'm thinking August or September. I have a poll up at The True Book Addict to help me decide when so I would appreciate a vote if you're interested in participating. Thanks!
I would like to extend a special thanks to Nova and Laura for hosting mini-challenges at their blogs. You guys are awesome! Also, an extra special thanks to the authors, publicists, and publishers who donated our terrific prizes.
Speaking of prizes...please have your wrap-up posts added to the linky below no later than 10am CST on Tuesday (U.S. time). I will start choosing winners and continue choosing until all prizes are awarded. Good luck!

Kind of immature, but... FIRST!!! ;)
ReplyDeletelol Hwa Sun Kang!
ReplyDeletetoo many non-book plans, only finished two
It's been a GREAT week, Michelle! Thank you again for hosting! :)
ReplyDeleteI finished two, but also finished writing three reviews. Attempting to make a dent in those blasted reviews was one of my goals too. :) So what's this about a Write-A-Thon? Did I miss information about this on your other blog? (I did see the poll, but nothing else.)
ReplyDeleteWow, what a week! Thank you very much for hosting this one Michelle, it's been just what I needed to get me through a busy seven days. I haven't read that much compared to some of these illustrious readers, but it's kept me more focussed than I would have been otherwise and my books have been brilliant. Cheers m'dears! :)
ReplyDeleteI only finished one book, but I made excellent progress in The Character of Meriwether Lewis: Explorer in the Wilderness by Clay Jenkinson. It's slow going - small, narrowly spaced type with narrow margins - but I think I'll have it finished before I meet the author on August 4th. Yay! Thanks for the push!
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting. It has been a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteI had a blast. As I noted in my wrap-up post, I don't know that I read any more pages that I would have without the Read-a-Thon, but I really enjoyed sharing the experience with other readers. During the week, I read in 6 different books, finishing 4 of them. Now, you should know that 2 of those completed books were partial reads -- books which I had started before the Read-a-Thon began. All-in-all it was a very good week. I read just over 1100 pages, for an average of 158 pages per day. I'm looking forward for the FrightFall week in October.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting! I'm so relieved to have gotten caught up with reading. Now I need the write-a-thon to catch up on reviews!
ReplyDeleteThank you for another great read-a-thon, Michelle! Can't wait for October!:)
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting the read-a-thon Michelle! =)
