High Summer Read-a-Thon...Here we go! #HSreadathon

It's time to start the read-a-thon. Yay! I hope everyone is ready to get their read on. I know I am. Just hoping I can find the time this week.

You guys are not going to believe how many prizes I have this time! It was amazing how many authors and bloggers offered donations. Thank you so much to all of them. The prize page will be up by Tuesday at the latest so stay tuned.

If you have any questions about how things work, check out the guidelines tab above or the sign up post, or you can always leave me a comment. The linky below is the same one as the sign up linky. If you do a starting line/goal post, just add your link again, but be sure to put "goal post" beside your name, i.e. Michelle/The True Book Addict (goal post).

I want to do one Twitter chat this time, instead of three. I know that I will have to schedule it at night, probably after 7:00pm central time. Please let me know in the comments what night of the week and time would work for you. I will go with the majority out of who votes in the comments.

Remember, our hashtag for the read-a-thon is #HSreadathon

I think that about covers it. Enjoy the week and Happy Reading!

  1. I may be crazy because I started rereading Game of Thrones last night. That could take me all week! But, I have a couple others going too. "My Family and Other Animals" by Gerald Durrell and on Kindle "Never Smile At Strangers" by Jennifer Minar-Jaynes. Tuesday or Wednesday is best for me to chat. Or, sadly, Friday night :)

  3. Okay, I found this too late to partake, plus real life is calling big-time this week, but I appreciate all the work you do, Michelle, with your read-athons and your interesting blogs! Kudos to you!

I'm sorry about wimping out with the The Strain read-along (I had read it before and didn't feel like rereading it at that time, though I enjoyed it first time around). I like that you read with your kids from alternating books to keep their interest every night. My daughter has 3 kids, in 3 different categories of books: picture books, learning to read, and chapter books, and she chooses a more "adult" fantasy (etc) chapter book to read each night so they all belong nicely. :) Just wanted to stop by and comment; it's been awhile for me here.

  5. Rita, so sorry with the late reply! I've been going non-stop since during and after the read-a-thon. Whew! Thank you for your kind words. :)

No worries on The Strain read-a-long. I was a bit of a slacker on it myself. Bad!

I'm enjoying the reading with my sons, although trying to tear them away from the video game can be a chore. I won't give up though!

Hope you can join us for FrightFall!
