I'm so very excited that it's almost officially Fall again (although I always kick off Fall personally on September 1...haha)! The FrightFall Read-a-Thon is only two weeks away! Official dates are September 29 through October 5. I hope you're ready to get your scary on! Guidelines for the read-a-thon can be found HERE or you can access in the tab at the top of the blog. Any information you need about the read-a-thon can be found there. We will have one Twitter chat. I will announce the date and time in the starting post. Please do be sure to check the guidelines, as I've made changes regarding signing up and the starting line. Our Twitter hashtag is #FrightFall.
Just remember...the one main "rule" of FrightFall is that you must read ONE scary book (which can be a thriller, mystery, Gothic novel, or similar for those who are faint of heart).
Sign up in the linky below. Be sure to grab the button at the top of this post (there's also a grab code below the button in the sidebar).
I am looking for prize donations so if anyone would like to contribute, let me know. Authors, this is a great way to promote your book! Contact me via the contact form link just below the header.
Thanks for signing up!

I can't wait for Halloween :D Already been collecting some spooky reads...
ReplyDeleteMichelle, will have to cancel. Just not feeling well.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait! I love October- for Halloween and readathons!
ReplyDeleteI can't resist, Michelle. So I'm back again. Sorry for the confusion. Early Happy fall wishes.
ReplyDeleteAll signed up ^_^ Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait. I need to spent some more time on reading instead of tv watching.
ReplyDeleteI'm planning on reading a thriller/mystery by Kristen Ekman (Under the Snow) or by John Ajvide Lindqvist (Harbour)--both of which I learned about from your suggestions on TuesBookTalk polls! Thank you, and I'm looking forward to it. :)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to some spooky reads!!!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to it! I already picked out the thriller I'll be reading that week!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds fun but I have one question(that I didn't see an answer to in the guidelines section)-is it OK to reread a scary book for this read-a-thon? I've been on a Stephen King kick lately and would like to revisit one of his past works.
ReplyDeleteRereads are fine, Tara. Scary books were made to be reread. I've read Bag of Bones twice. ;)
ReplyDeleteGlad to have you joining us!
Thanks,Michelle-happy to be on board!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to another fun readathon :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait! First time joining this readathon and it seems like a blast :)
ReplyDeleteI'm in, I'm in - I finally figured out which of my review books will fit so I can be knocking off one of those while joining in the fun!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've participated in one of your seasonal readathons in a while -- looking forward to it! I'll be in Madison for two days of the days but as I won't be driving maybe I can get something read in the car. I'll have to start compiling a list now.
ReplyDeleteI just linked up to my blog, not a specific goal page because today I am hosting #30Authors and I shouldn't have another post up today. But I didn't wait until tomorrow because I knew I would forget to do it! I am glad it can be paranormal or gothic reads, as horror is not my thing. Too creepy for me!
ReplyDeleteWell I signed up but forgot to comment I suppose. Not sure which to pick from the ones I've narrowed it down to, classic mystery with Sherlock Homes or Agatha Christie or 11/22/63 with Stephen King (my first SK *gasp*)?
ReplyDeleteExcited about doing this! Nervous as it is the same time as some of my college exams, but forget that, am I right? Gonna read some Neil Gaiman!!
ReplyDeleteI by accident made two entrys the second one is the right one.
ReplyDeleteI've included my goals as well in my opening post. Looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteI'm in! I hope I did the linky correctly. My understanding is the goal post is what we plan to read. Do I do the sign up again and link to my wrap-up post after I finish?
ReplyDeleteWelcome, Rachel! I use the same linky for sign up and goals so if a person signs up early and doesn't have their goals ready, they can come back and add a link to their goals post when the read-a-long starts (with goals in parenthesis). Yours is sign up and goals combined so you're fine. I put up a new linky for wrap-ups at the end (which is where I draw winners from for the giveaway).
ReplyDeleteMurder as a Fine Art is a great book. I loved it! Great choice. :)
I'm in, too! Can't wait for Monday! Have a great reading week everyone!
ReplyDeleteI'm not seeing my sign up in the linky so hopefully it took! Ready to get ome reading in!
ReplyDeleteIt's there, Lindsey. :)
ReplyDeleteYAY! All set then!
ReplyDeleteYay! This sounds like lots of fun. Looking forward to reading with everyone. :)
ReplyDeleteI just added my goals, I've got a couple chunksters and my first Stephen King! Excited to get going.
ReplyDeleteI'm joining in and just added my linky! Just wanted to warn you though that it will not go live until Monday morning. I wanted to get it linked up because I won't be able to tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck to everyone!!!
Ready to read! Hope everyone enjoys their picks!
ReplyDeleteIn true 18th century style, I shall be reading Walpole's 1764 gothic fancy, Castle of Otranto!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting, Michelle! I missed Frightfall last year, but I'm happy to be able to join this time around!
ReplyDeleteFinally, I have caught the fever. I'm enjoying my FrightFall novel. Now, I'm going to tour the other FrightFall sites.
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle,
ReplyDeleteJust came by to wrap up my FrightFall Read A Thon. I really enjoyed it. I tried to finish a couple of books, but I didn't finish either one. Since I had a good time, it didn't bother me. Thanks for having this FrightFall Fun. Hope you do it again next year.
Thanks for an unusual week of spooky reading. I appreciate all the time and effort you put into each of your challenges. It has gotten me to read out of my usual genre.
ReplyDeleteMy last book #5 Dark Blessings John Paul AllenDark Blessings
Come along into the scary, peculiar and bizarre world of Dark
Blessings!!!
This is a collections of short stories you will never forget. The
stories are harrowing and intense. The characters are interesting
in their own realm. This is strong, frightening stuff.
I received the ebook from the author. My opinion is my own.
