If you do love the scary, then feel free to read horror for the entire two weeks.

#FrightFall Read-a-Thon - Wrapping up

Some news that came about this read-a-thon. Shaunesay @ The Space Between put a bee in my bonnet over in the Facebook group about extending FrightFall for the whole month. While I couldn't really do it this year, that bee was buzzing so I put the poll out to the group. How about making FrightFall a month long next year? And guess what...the votes were overwhelmingly YES! So next year we will be going the whole month. Yay! I may have to get a helper or two to assist me in visiting blogs, but other than that, I think it's a great idea. I generally read scary all October anyway. Win!

Up next, we have the Christmas Spirit Read-a-Thon which will be November 21 - 27. The read-a-thon helps kick off my yearly Christmas Spirit Reading Challenge, hosted at my Christmas blog, which runs from November 21 through Twelfth Night, January 6, 2017. I will have a button made with grab code in the sidebar this week and sign-up will be the first week in November. I hope you will join us.

High Summer Read-a-Thon - It's a wrap! #HSreadathon

Another read-a-thon has come to an end. Sad times. Now we must wait until FrightFall in October (although I'm sure there will be other read-a-thons around the blogosphere...I hope so).

I hope everyone enjoyed the read-a-thon and accomplished what you wanted to. Even if you didn't, I hope it was a lot of fun. I love all my participants...I think we have a wonderful read-a-thon community.

Sci-Fi Summer Read-a-Thon - Time to Wrap Up #SciFiSummerJune

Well, I think Sci-Fi Summer was a true success, and so we will be back again next year! I will now have six official read-a-thons each year...A Winter's Respite, Spring into Horror, SciFi Summer, High Summer, FrightFall, and Christmas Spirit! Exciting!

A Winter's Respite Read-a-Thon - Wrap Up #wintersrespite

Well, it has come to an end and I missed it all. I started getting sick last Sunday and progressively became worse as the days went by. I finally went to the doctor on Thursday and found out I have the flu. Unfortunately, my reading was scarce at best and I'm still not 100 percent. The doctor said it could last 10 days and then I'll still be weak. What a joy. I'd like to thank everyone who wished me well on Facebook and in our Facebook group. Much appreciated.

Christmas Spirit Read-a-Thon - Wrap Up #CSReadathon

Finally...a wrap up post. I'm so sorry for being MIA for the read-a-thon this year. As some of you have seen in the Facebook group, I haven't been having a good go of it lately. Work and real life problems have been especially nasty and while I'm still trying to stay positive and carry on, as I always do, I'm utterly exhausted in the process. Hoping that I can pick myself up, dust myself off, and really start enjoying this holiday season.

A Winter's Respite - Wrap Up! #WintersRespite

Well, another Winter's Respite comes to a close and I can't help feeling a little sad. Not sure if you all saw my mid-week check-in post, but I admitted to making a mistake by scheduling another read-a-thon during the last week of the month. End of month is the busiest time for my job and I found myself scrambling this week to get client hours used, etc. And, to add insult to injury, my Great Aunt passed on Saturday so I had visitation on Monday night and the funeral Tuesday. So, did not get much reading or socializing in. It's the latter that I feel the worst about. Stopping by your blogs is usually my first priority and I do apologize for not visiting and cheering you on. I've decided to change all the read-a-thons that fall on the latter part of the month to the third week instead of the end (that's the Winter, Spring, and Summer ones) and the Fall one will be the first official week in October (not starting at the end of September and into early October). I hope everyone will be fine with that. I'm hoping this will remedy my time issue. *fingers crossed*

Christmas Spirit Read-a-Thon - Wrapped up like a present! #CSReadathon

What a whirlwind week! I'm not sure if hosting this Thanksgiving week was the smartest thing. I was off work on Thursday and Friday so Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday was all about getting stuff done for work before my days off. This really interfered with my social interaction during the read-a-thon. If I missed visiting any blogs, I do apologize. I will be sure to visit ALL of your wrap-ups. A Winter's Respite Read-a-Thon: Post your wrap-ups!

Well, another read-a-thon comes to an end. I hope everyone enjoyed it! I'd like to thank everyone who participated. I'd also like to thank everyone who donated prizes and Melissa for hosting the mini-challenge. We had a couple of great Twitter chats this time. We had a lively discussion about the tons of books we own and how they are best moved (when we move house) by movers, even though they might think we're insane for owning so many books. I always say that people who don't understand those of us who own a lot of books are, as my son would say, "They're just non-readers, Mom" (I wonder where he got that from?). LOL! Looking forward to Spring into Horror on April 22 - 28! How about you?

If anyone is interested in me hosting another Sit Down and Write writing challenge over at Stories Inside, let me know what month (February, March or early April) would be good for you in the comments. It will last for two weeks again.

My wrap-up post will be over at The True Book Addict in my update post. I didn't really do that great, but I did finish one book, well the first half of Les Mis. My copy is two volumes!

High Summer Read-a-Thon Wrap-Up

Well, another lovely read-a-thon has reached its end. *sniff* It has been great fun hosting once again. I hope everyone was able to accomplish the goals they set and even if you didn't, I hope you enjoyed it above all else. I would like to thank you for joining me again and I hope you will join me for the FrightFall Read-a-Thon October 1 through 7.

I've also decided to host a Write-a-Thon for writing our novels, stories, reviews, articles...whatever you need to get written. I'm thinking August or September.
