Sign up for the Spring into Horror Readathon

It's time to get our scary on! I love this readathon because 1) it's horror and 2) we're six months away from October, FrightFall, and Halloween. Yay!

We start at 12:00 am eastern time on April 1st and end at 11:59 pm eastern time on April 30th. (There is a handy link to a time zone converter in the sidebar menu.) I hope you're ready to get your scary on! Guidelines for the readathon can be found HERE or you can access in the sidebar menu. Any information you need about the readathon can be found there. Please do be sure to check the guidelines to make sure you're following along correctly. There are specific rules regarding sign up and wrap up, especially in regards to the giveaway.

The one main "rule" of Spring into Horror is that you must read at least ONE scary book (which can be a thriller, mystery, Gothic novel, or similar for those who are faint of heart). I hope you will indulge the scary beyond the one book, but that is entirely up to you. It is all about the reading after all.

I am no longer active on Twitter. I'm in the process of removing tweets from all my accounts and making the accounts generic (it is recommended to do this rather than delete the account so someone else can't sign up using the same name). Some orders of business...

• Since Goodreads stopped the events feature, it has become a bit more difficult to spread the word, and to obtain prize donations. I would appreciate help in spreading the word. Also, if you know anyone (authors, etc.) who would like to donate a prize, have them message me via the contact form in the sidebar menu. Thank you!
• Every readathon, I offer a charity donation prize (to a social justice charity) to one winner. This prize is awarded at the beginning of the readathon. Details on how it works are on the guidelines page. I will also be offering another small prize. Hopefully, I will get some prize donations (see above). If I do, I will post the prize page during the first week of the event.
• Grab the button and spread the word! There’s a grab code in the sidebar or download the image at the top of this post.

Winter's Respite - The readathon is over, winter is not

Don't get me wrong, I love winter, but this is starting to wear on me. Sending out positive vibes to anyone else who is fed up with winter. I do hope your reading helped to take your mind off the weather.

To wrap up, go to the link for the wrap-up form at the end of this post and fill it out, including a link to your wrap-up (whether it's a blog post, a Goodreads shelf, social media status...anything goes, as long as I can see you did indeed participate). You will also indicate if you want a chance at a prize by selecting yes or no in the form. Be sure to double check that your name is listed in the sign up/starting line linky at this post so you will be eligible for the giveaway. You have until Monday, March 6th at 11:59 pm EST to fill out the form. I will email the winner within a few days following the deadline so keep a look out in your email inbox (or spam folder, just in case) for an email from my truebookaddict gmail account. The prize is listed here on the mid-event check-in page.
